The right kind of tracks in the best possible condition are integral to success in your business. FAQs
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions but if you find there’s anything missing, do get in touch and we’ll help out in any way we can:
1. How to install ASV tracks
Replacement rubber tracks can be installed quickly and easily with the right experience. Make sure you work on a flat surface and have the space to safely maneuver around the vehicle. Begin by releasing the tension from the existing tracks, set the tracks to their suspended position. You can also use this time to assess any other maintenance issues such as problems with the bottom rollers and undercarriage. If all is well place the new replacement tracks onto the drive cage and align the tracks for use. If you want to read the complete guide, you can do so here.
2. How to change tracks on ASV
To fit your new replacement tracks you will then need to safely remove the old tracks and follow the process above. The new tracks should be aligned before use.
3. How to Find or Measure Rubber Track Sizes for ASV Replacement Rubber Tracks
Some skid steers have the correct size of rubber track imprinted but this isn’t always the case. When you need to measure your tracks take into account the following three measurements:
- The width of the rubber track in inches
- The pitch of track (distance between the center of two adjacent links in inches)
- The number of links on the inside of the track
